Marlboroman
What are you doing for wastegate placement?Got a pic of the collector? Not the colletor on the manifold, it's a prototype for that one. The one on the pic put was scrapped since it wasn'd good enough. Too short pipes and too wide angle on them also. Had no other pic to offer. We'll put in the wastegate later on. The downpipe has to be made first on order to see were it's best to put it. The only thing i know for sure now is that the wg is going to be somewhere over the dp-flange approximately. Marlboroman
btw, I know you told us the cost for the parts, but where exatly did you source them?Parts come from www.klracing.se but i buy them through another company for a better price though.Nice Job on the car! What output did you end up with WHP-wise, or don't you have any numbers yet? Thanks =) Have no numbers yet. Havent fired up the engine since this stage of the rebuild started. Have hopes of starting it before the end of the month, but with the "stock-kit" on it. If all goes to plan i getting it remapped in the beginning of june. Output... Official aim is 450hp @ engine, but it's possible to take out 500, maybe some more. But the dyno has the final word. Marlboroman
Someone remind me why these mani's aren't on some company's production line...I'm not sure if pipearts still makes their manifold for 850, but it's expensive... 2500 USD for a stainless manifold***************************************************************************Rigged the tools for putting the carrier back in placeBack in one peice. Was going to put the timing belt on to, but the paint on the camgears doesn't look so nice anymore. Should have repainted them during the winter, but that had slipped my mind. So i will have to repaint them tomorrow.
