I've run into this before in GM's and Fords, and a little black box could be added that tricked the anti-theft system into letting the car start. Is such a thing available for Volvo? Hands down my favorite accessory!There are several magic boxes that use a keyhead that you provide so it has the right transponder in it. Then the box can be stashed away and it has an antennaloop on the end of a lead that you wrap around the ignition switch.When the Autostart sends a signal to the box, it ships the transponderinfo out to the ignition switch (where the cars transponder antenna is)and just like magic, the car thinks the key is there. You may have to throwa relay at the "key in" sensor in the ign sw, also. Not sure.Check out Astro Flex/AstroStart for details. Tech support should have that answer.The Astros are WICKED long range AND offer two way versions that let you know that the car has started wth a display on the remote. A favorite of installers in Fairbanks. These can also be used for A/C. Check out the 4202.
