Added Another Brick To The Fleet!

Greetings,

I have been searching for a replacement "city" car after my '78 was totalled while parked last year(struck by a drunk driver). I had been searching for a rust free older Volvo which is nearly impossible to find in the NE. I lucked upon this one about a month ago and it has been a fun project thus far. Its a '73 142 in the original canary yellow. The car lived its life in California until 2004 when the previous owner paid to ship it over to PA. Once it got here it sat for two years until I found it. My buddy and I drove up, threw a battery in it, and drove it 75 miles home! The car has an R-sport gauge cluster, R-sport wheel, IPD springs, IPD swaybars and turbo rims. In addition the engine was rebuilt and it came with a glovebox full of repair bills. The car has a UC Santa Barbera parking pass from '87 on the rear bumper still  Sorry there are only a few pics, I will try to snap some more later on. These pics were taken before it was fully clean. The car isn't perfect but for the price I couldn't be happier.

Parked beside the current daily driver. Finally get to park the Acura for the winter!

Thanks for the compliments guys. I do consider myself lucky to have found the car locally in such good condition. There are a few spots of surface rust on the sunroof and trunk but absolutely nothing in the quarters/trunk/underbelly which is great. The NSX is mine as well. I've been using it as my daily driver while working on the C70 and I can finally store it up on the lift for the winter.

regards,

Matt
