I'm sick of that list. My 855 turbo ran 15.4 all night without hooking up well. either their drivers were horrible or they were testing turbo'd cars in space.

Yes, but you didn't hook up... So, your time was pretty accurate to what a STOCK 855 Turbo does, which your car IS. With the open-diff, it's rather hard to get a good run without having some sticky tires or absolutely no launch. Do we know how they did their 1/4 mile test, simply floor it when the light turns green, or did they powerbrake, auto or manual? We don't know, so don't get all riled up over nothing.

I fail to see your point. If I couldn't hook up wouldn't that make me faster if I did? I'm already faster than what they have listed.

Sure with an open-diff you can't get the best launch, but comon' your launching in a straight line, not turning. Even you of all people have done a 2 wheel burnout on an open diff. Unless you have some major weighting problems or extreme torque steer, you shouldn't just plainly spin 1 tire.

according to the list, "1994 Volvo 850 Sportwagon Turbo 7.4 15.5" My car is stock. Since a majority of 850 turbos are auto, I'm gonna guess they tested an auto 850 turbo. I ran a 15.4. If an amateur driver like me can pull a better time than them(assuming from a tester like road & track, etc, "professional"), thats pretty sad, imo. for 50 degrees out and the track being prepared right after it rained, I don't understand how they could pull a time slower than that of a worn, 180K mile, with okay compression and a 180K mile, turbo, 850. Sure 50 degrees would help slightly with power, but come on.

I would expect my time to be about .2 seconds slower than theirs, which was the case with my mother's S70 T5, 15.1 vs their 14.9.

Somehow my car did a 14.0 when it was supposed to do a 15.0..... Oh ya, more boost and different turbo helped.

Your mod list says you are running more boost, so that alone COULD have made your time that much faster then a "stock" 855 Turbo.

the point is, some of those times aren't accurate.

Your car isn't "factory spec", so it's not comparable to "factory spec" times... You need to be completely stock in order to qualify for that class, at least IMO :)

lol ecu turned it back down ages ago, according to everyone on VS. I've never seen it go above 10psi.
