what is a stage 0...?

That's where your at when you first meet the new guy/girl in your life :lol:

No really, Stage 0 is replaceing all the bit's like distributor cap/ignition leads etc to bring your baby back up to spec, everyone needs to do this before the have any tuning done to get the best out of it.

The Stage 0 write up in the sticky section is accurate for all cars. increase boost lower the gap on the spark plugs and go one step colder. Mine came at something ridiculously high above .40, started getting problems, got iridiums and dropped the gapdown to .32 and haven't had any problems.

Also a good thing for any turbo car... replace all vacuum lines and zip tie at every junction. they can leak boost under WOT and make you lose power up top, better safe than sorry... don't want to blow any vacuum lines off!

Yep. 22psi, will make you do that. better safe than sorry. runs like a dream now, no spark cut, idle is a little bubbly but that's to be expected on that car.

Huh, I woulda figured at that psi the gap would of been under .30. What whp are you running on there gotta be close to 300whp at 22 psi :unsure: I've read 320whp is achievable on the stock turbo on the SRT4's.

maybe 300bhp but definitely not whp. I have to get a new intake, mine is stuff, replace intercooler piping and get a better intercooler with a better BOV, and a 3" cut-out cump DP and i should be right around 300whp. Stock turbo SRT-4s with only boost have seen 320whp on DTEC and 330-345 on EMS, but the nitrous ones have been able to hit almost 375. The problem is for the stock ECU guys that it registers a difference in front wheel velocity and rear wheel velocity and pulls timing, so that coupled with the lack of sufficient cool air for the intercooler (a problem with all dynos) decrease power slightly.

The blocks are definately rock solid, 500 hp on the stock block is not out of the question B) Don't know how useful that would be to the front wheels though, you should get traction around 80mph or so in 3rd gear :rolleyes:

haha true, i can't floor it in first without slicks, 2nd i baby into it then floor it, power shift into 3rd and i burn, 3rd with a little babying still chirps the tires. turbo spools way to fast IMHO, i'll get 15psi at 2500rpms 22psi 3500-5500 then drop to around 20psi at redline in 2nd gear.

Yeah, those #'s sound so familiar. We did an E-manage on my friend's 05, car made about 338whp. Then I put a 100 shot on it... 450whp and 494 whtq was fun on 17" street tires. :lol::lol::lol: I used to get serious spin out of that car on 3rd gear 80 MPH rolls.

What is the stock turbo on those?

Reverse scroll 16G. My biggest gripes are the o2 housing and the integrate manifold. Aside from that, the car was a breeze to work on.
