850GLT333
Today i noticed that although there are no speakers in the rear doors, they are prewired- my question is that on a 97 GLT, would the head unit be able to power two more aftermarket speakers in the rear door? (the car has premium sound sys and i believe the head unit is the SC-815 but not positive) thanks!

Veneficus
5.25"←5.25s don't all fit in there... I tried to put my old speakers from the front doors (5.25s) in tbe back doors and they don't fit... they're a bit larger than that. Note: I have a 97. Guest MBT
Can someone explain to me how you got the door panels off of the rear doors? All I can find are 3 screws at the bottom of the door.Thanks,Mike.
Veneficus
Alright, to access the other two torx screws you have to take the arm guard on the door. Its made of the same material that you seats are... so you carefully pull that thing off as it is just a piece of cardboard that keeps the material on there, and then you have full acces to the screws. After this you must remove the door latch (black plastic thing) which can be done by pulling directly up on it. After this pull the door from the bottom and with a little force it should come off. steve s
don't forget to remove the red door light at the side for rear doors.take out ur speakers and check if u have 4 ohm or 8 ohm...a sticker saying what ohm it is should be on the back of the magnet.5.25" should fit, if not, get some brackets...ur local shop may have some..online places like crutchfield may have some too. 6.5" will fit, but probably not under the stock grill and u need new holes...
