Chilled man
vehicle speed is aquired through the ABS module by averaging the front 2 wheel speeds, then sent to the network to the ECM, instrument cluster, ectwell since I already look like a bonehead in this thread , was there any volvo that had the speedo sensor on the transmission ? or is that the Cruise control sensor ??? I am confused at this point and time ?
toohipsi
If you erase the code and in time the light somes back on you can most of the time bank on a bad ABS module. The fact that you put new tires on wont set the abs light as long as the wheels and tires are the same diameter/circumference. Like someone said remove the wheels and make sure that the wheel speed sensors and exciter rings are intact, if they are then you probably have a high speed network communication problem ie:ABS Module. Hope this helps. -Matt
