They wouldn't come off in gail force winds. If you ever do need to remove them like I did, be sure to soak them in Goo Gone to eat away at the tape. Then slowly pry them off. Also use a blow dryer on low heat for a few seconds at a time.I think the provided velcro will work, why else would they provide it.I do have some industrial strength velcro as well.
