Guest allenwalker supporter
tire rack has them for $80 and seems to perform as good as other tires
whitev70r
From my experience, you get what you pay for. Kumho, Falken and Hanook are all good tires that are on the cheaper side but their UTQG rating is lower than the Bridgestones, BFGoodrich, Pirellis, Yokohoma. My Falken's didn't last too long in terms of tread life. I'm eyeing a set of BFGoodrich G Force Sports. Try Discount Tires, I found their prices a bit cheaper on the whole. Good luck. Guest Guest
tirerack is cheaper than them for same tires. I compared the kumho kh-16 to the Yokohama AVID H4S and it perform the same if not a little better but the difference iskumho is 440 a a and the yoko is 500 AA A but price difference is $16 each i see the BFGoodrich Traction T/A Spec for $86 wqhich is only $6 in difference to kumho and the BFGoodrich Traction T/A Spec has 620 A B but i didn't see any test results to compare

POOKDIZZLE
I've had two sets on other cars, good tire for the money and treadwear was solid as well; they were a bit noisy.

Guest 850T-5
I'd stay away from Kumho tires. I know a couple of people that experienced awful vibration and noise prematurely with Kumho tires. Traction is "decent" but that's it. They may be decent but they're just a cheap tire. Yokohama AVID H4S or Continental ProContacts are great perforamnce capable all season tires for around the same price. Excellent ride, traction, performance and last a long time (with proper alignment and inflation of course like any tire). BFGoodrich G Force Sports and Traction T/A's are also good as mentioned. Also good traction, performance and lifespan . . . .Personally, I'd also stay away from Bridgestone tires, they suck in my opinion.

ToxicLemonade
I have had two sets of khumo tires, 712's and mxt or somethign like that. good tires for the money and good treadware. have had mine on for over two years and still have life. of course i dont burn out every intersection either so that counts for something and i rotate every 10k. But i think you do get what you pay for, but i mean if its an xc90 i dont think you are too worried about grip through tight cornors or anything like that. -Ryan
Guest Guest
I might go for the Yokohama AVID H4S then but it was neck to neck with the kumho but the BFGoodrich Traction T/A is cheaper than the Yoko but not liek the kumho but it had worst reviews than the Yoko and the kumho

Guest Guest
lol i'll just go for either one yoko. BFGoodrich Tractiont/a had worst reviews than the yoko or kumho. I mentioned the models up above.
dmelviØØ7
I am a huge believer of the "get what you pay for" addage when it comes to tires. Also don't forget the standard hour of labor that you are usually going to pay in addition to tire rack prices.
gr8gatzby
I put some Yoko's on my XC on the cheap($98 each) via Discout Tire Direct. Within six weeks the tires started to vibrate violently and were replaced with no hassle for free. I did pay for the tire warranty ($5 per tire). They offer free rotation for the life of the tires, as well; I take the XC in every 1500mi for rotation. I highly recommend them. They appear to cost more than the Tire Rack, but after shipping cost it works out to be the same. My $0.02.
