Denovae
The film was done by mopar in 2002 when the SRT-4 was released so yes, it is a WRX not an STi. This also explains why the race is close, the WRX is a tick behind the SRT-4 0-60mph (w/o lsd it hit a 5.3sec w/ the lowest was a 5.6sec, 1/4mi unaffected around 13.9-14.2) and the spread increases ever so slightly in the 1/4mi.as for the backfiring, it happens ALOT. the loudest backfires are from side-exit catless set-ups with crane-14 cams, they sound like shotgun blasts at WOT shifts and crackle a lot at idle. they definitely don't have the typical 4banger sound to them at all, their sound is very distinct to the point i know when an SRT is coming down a street if i'm outside hanging out. EricF
yay neon. Not so sure it has a Mopar exhaust.. sounds pretty stock to me. You know they didn't have mufflers stock right? As far as the SRT in general, I really like it. If you judge a car by who drives it though, that's fine with me ;)

If you judge a car by who drives it though, that's fine with me i did know that, at the time of production it had the loudest stock exhaust for a 4 cylinder. Taking a close look at the tips on the exhaust and how they fill out the cutouts i think it's a mopar/borla exhaust. the mopar/borla is only a .25in increase in diameter from stock. I just ran into a buddy today (to buy a few things) and he took me for a ride in his 50trim... at 15psi wooooooah no part throttle boost, pulls real hard up top... ran an 11.9 at 119mph on slicks with 26psi, i want to take a ride in it at full boost. I'm still up in the air for what direction i want to take my car or to sell it... GT3076R SRT or a RWD/AWD car... ohhhh the choices.
