Ahh, yeah I read it t3h wrong :D'oh:

In reguards to what you were saying.

The EVO/SRT4 run a much easier system for making power, ie mbc, adj. fuel press reg, walbro 255lph pump, catless dp, i/c pipes, intake.

The wrx/sti require engine management first, '02-'05 wrx's need an up pipe (stock has a cat), tbe, 255lph pump, intake, bigger tmic (ssautochrome from ebay has some big, cheap, and well built units), gm boost solnoid, and then you have to still deal with the fact that the WRX's td04 turbocharger is too tiny to keep up with the EVO's 16g. The STi's bigger engine and VF39 turbocharger can keep it within range of the 16g after tuning, maxes out around 330awhp/350awtq on 93.

The key for many places not picking up the subies is purely based on tuning.

They have the three cats to fit under ulev. Now there is a weird air pump system in it's place. The front cat had the possibility of breaking up and going through the turbo.

The stock IHI TD04 turbocharger on the WRX (non STi) is a tiny, tiny turbo.

Here is a picture of the TD04 vs. my GT35R.
