paulr
don't forget about the other DIN things too... EQs, flip-outs, gauge clusters, etc... But yes, most people run the pocket.

paulr
I've seen the DVD drive trick before lol, but didn't think about it in this case... I must be honest and say I've never seen a DIN (or half-din) center before. I had to google it to make sure they exist... Then again, I don't really mess with surround, because I don't have the $$$ to pull it off, and maintain the SQL that I expect. do you really get good response from 1" drivers? sounds more like a tweeter. some of them claimed as low as 200Hz response, and that seemed a little - optimistic. I know pockets are a cheap way to avoid a huge hole in the dash, and for that they work well, but the pockets just seem so lame compared to the other options. Some people would kill for 1.5 or 2 DIN, and most of us don't care lol.
RAzOR
www.partsexpress.com It's something called a Metra turbo pocket. I have a brand new kit with pocket and OEM wiring harness adapters that I never used. It's about two months old. I'll make you a deal-io. Shoot me a PM.
