Brought The C70 Home Today!

I am happy to report that the C70 is officially back on the road after a fourteen month rebuild. The T-belt tensioner broke in November '05 and I ended up replacing just about everything in the engine bay. The car is currently running on the stock 16t turbo for the next week or two during the engine break-in. Im currently at 47 miles on the new engine and so far everything is running really well. No leaks, noises, etc. I apologize for the poor quality pics but the car is currently relegated to street duty and I was being covered in ice as these were taken.

regards,

Matt

Really crappy pic. I painted the grille black. Definitely prefer it over the original silver.

Started swapping in the black interior.

The new suspension going in this week. The mod kitty is seen giving his nod of approval.

Thanks guys,

I can't wait to get the coilovers on. I'm used to driving the NSX and this thing really does feel like a 4x4 in comparision. I will be bringing the C to the meet on the 4th. Might have to have the fiance drive it though if I end up bringing the 142.

Glad to see it back on the road Matt! Glad everything worked out. Let me know if you want me to snap some pics. I was going to do it, but was worried about not having the correct registration card with me. You seriously need to put the SLK on street duty, and throw that in the garage! I'd hate to see it get damaged out there. How do you like the clutch feel?

Hey Josh,

I know, I already tried shuffling the cars around but the NSX is taking the top spot on the lift and my fiance is convinced someone other than me will try to have sex with her against her will if she parks outside, lol. Stupid city living

The clutch feels great. Can't tell any difference between it and the stock unit.
