echristodo
I am happy to report that the C70 is officially back on the road after a fourteen month rebuild. The T-belt tensioner broke in November '05 and I ended up replacing just about everything in the engine bay. The car is currently running on the stock 16t turbo for the next week or two during the engine break-in. Im currently at 47 miles on the new engine and so far everything is running really well. No leaks, noises, etc. I apologize for the poor quality pics but the car is currently relegated to street duty and I was being covered in ice as these were taken. regards,MattReally crappy pic. I painted the grille black. Definitely prefer it over the original silver.did you do the job yourself? was that an engine rebuild or replacement? messy job... MattM
Thanks again everyone! I drove the car to work this morning and its such a good feeling being back behind the wheel. Im torn between RICA and NIRA at this point. I would like to have the ability to tune the vehicle but I don't know if I want to deal with the headaches associated with the tuning. The original engine was rebuilt by a local Volvo mechanic. Im looking forward to getting the KW's on but am a bit wary. Im running 245/35/19's on all four corners and I have a feeling im gonna have to roll the fenders in the front. I'm gonna install them this Saturday so I should know for sure at that point.regards,Matt

Nira all the way man.
MattM
Hey Mark,I know what you mean. One of my main concerns at this point is keeping the car as streetable as possible. Now that I have the car back I plan on really modding the NSX and I don't want to be stuck with two undriveable vehicles. Im gonna have to research NIRA a bit more.......Matt
550
I think you should be able to pull off the car with a "mail-in" chip, it will just be harder. Nira is expensive too... I want it :(

MattM
I think im just a little apprehensive after seeing what some of my friends have gone through tuning their respective cars. Issues such as part-throttle driveability, cold start issues, etc. Im not saying that I would necessarily run into these issues with NIRA, im honestly not that familiar with the system and will most likely go that route.regards,Matt

Hey Matt, there is also EPL Labs Dyno place up in CT that tunes the ECU right in the facility as the car is on the dyno...Might want to contact TurboR850 regarding that as I know he had that done.
