Okay, So I really need a car and I found a great deal 'I think'

I must be honest - I'm a little nervous about the miles. Kelly Blue Book has it at 13k I can buy it for 7k. I hear that Volvo's can run to 250k miles with little problem if they are well maintained. I'm just concerned that I am either getting a great BARGIN or a lemon. I hear that repairing these cars can be expensive....

tell ya what you do. buy a crappy 850 like everyone else here and you will be an instant hero. people will applaud your decision, and whenever you ask a question you'll get bombarded with 'search for it, it's been talked about a bazillion times'.

but speaking as the only one on this thread with an S80 i would be leary of these recent repairs. the milage is getting up there for any car. and don't fool yourself, these cars are not the kind you can work on in your driveway. sorry.
