volflo
as some might know i run a bsr chip mapped for the 16T.my car runs very nicely so far. I was actually thinking of swapping to a 19T and keeping the rest as it is. so keep the injectors and keep the fuel pressure. i dont actually want ot go higher than my current boost (19 psi, 1.3 bar that i have betwenn 3800 and ~4700)Anyway, with the 19T im hoping on keeping those 19psi from lets say 3800 rpm to as close i can go to redline with those parameters.what do you think? Stupid plan? Or is worth the effort when i basically just change the 16T to 19T and rest stays the same.....
Guest DougK
I'd do it, but dyno it with AFRs and remap it. Its going to be be different than your 16ts map ;)
Willem_c70
You can do it without remap.Look at this link: http://home.planet.nl/~dijkstra/turbo.htmlI would get a 19T remap if I where you.
AutoX47
BSR sells a 19T remap for your car, just upgrade to the Steg IV
Johann
VolfloYou could use the 19T with the same settings but I think you will end up a bit slower compared to the 16T. Also the 19T will start earlier and doesn't drop off boost as soon as the 16T. Specially this last area might cause your engine to run lean. The only way to know is to put the 19T on and do some A/F measuring. I would strongly advice you to install the 350 CC. The 315 CC just don't cut it, asking for trouble. volflo
thanks very much for all the decent help. could someone just sum up what injectors have -what capacity and what flow?-what color?excel sheet?? 1. i think along with the 19T i will also get the (blue?) injectors of the 2000 265hp v70R. will those be alright?2. (and another question: did my 96 R manual (came with 16t from factory, b5234t4) come with bigger injectors already?)3. i still have a third option: i can get hold of a used engine. This one:16T - B5234T3 240hp 1997-1998 finns i S/V/C70 T5, straight oulet from turbine.what kind of injectors does that one have?which of the three injector options is best?
