XtremePsionic
I wonder, can I get some directional tweeters and put them on the dash to improve sound imaging? I dont' want kicks, too expensive and I don't like having less leg room.

Bing_0
well, first of all, describe your sound stage issue, where would you like to have your system stage? dash level? eye level?one way to improve imaging is to mount tweeters in the A pillars, and then super high pass them (10khz+ sometimes), and sometimes time delayed.b

So do I have to high pass the tweaters or they won't give me the imaging effect?
Bing_0
its a very trial and error thing, I wold suggest just taping some tweets up there, run them off an independant channel, high pass it vrey high, and see how it sounds, I am in general not to keen on doing this cuase often < i feel the tweeter just adds more harness, i have tried this with the boston acoustic image rasing tweeter set and persoanlly, i didnt like hte results, but relaly, its a lot of trial and error...there are so many factors in determining the stage height of a car system, speaker locations, speaker aiming, the attributes of the speakres themselves, the car's interior attributes, tuning...etc...so really, its a lot of trial and error, does sticking tweetsr in the a pillar raise the sound stage? of course, but if you dont carefuly figure it out, it could come at the cost of other things, such as frequency response...b
