OOOooopppp's It's Costing Us That Now ! ! Oh Yeah , ask Your Self Why did It Take , so Long to get Convertors and Clean Diesel , when they had the Technology in 1994 ?We are Currently Drilling Wells 6 Miles Deep below the Ocean in the Gulf , but can't come up with Clean Diesel ? You were probably smoking one when you posted this.In the US roughly 20% of the cost of a gallon of fuel is tax. That is the highest actually, it can be lower.That is nothing compared to European countries which tends to pay 50-70% tax. That is the reason their prices are 3 times what ours are and one of the main reasons that diesels are more common. That is only one reason diesel isn't more common here, but you don't seem to comment on the others, so maybe you are the one who is asleep and can't see them.As for CFCs, it took MANY years to phase those out, not just one or two.Put down the joint and do your research before you post. On trucks for example its a 6k dollar option. The petrol truck may get 13ish where the diesel gets 19. So that is 120 more miler per tank or ~ 9 gallons less per tank. Even at 3 dollar per gallon thats a 27 dollar per tank savings which being very generous. So after 220 tanks I break even. w00t ? With that I have 3 petrol vehicles that get under 10 per city and a diesel one that gets under 10 in city.
