Turbo Honda Rapes Dyno

One of my friends went to go get a 400whp dyno chart for his Prelude.

f'n hysterical. his open dump tube and DP melted one of the straps.

he nailed 370whp at 6800rpms with an 8000rpm redline so he was very much pissed to not get his 400whp dyno that day. his turbo and long block are capable of 600whp but he's wanted to hold back untill he gets a built transmission and a lot of other things (i.e. solid motor mounts)

What turbo? Compression Ratio? Any headwork?

he's not the type to let people know what he has done unless they're tuning his car.

Him and I are hosting a meet in the upcoming months for where we go to school. Maybe he'll let me poke around his car but the chances are slim. I know he's running a t3/t4, last time i saw it i thought it was a 50trim but not quite sure. i don't know of the compression ratio but it's in the 8s with JE pistons and eagle connecting rods if i remember what he told me over a year ago. headwork? yes everything has been PnP'd on the intake manifold and head, the exhaust manifold is a tubular. it's not some thrown together turbo honda like you usually see. he's taken a while to everything the right way, his limiting factors are fuel system and transmission, he was looking for a built auto tranny for drag racing but i think he discarded the idea in favor of manual for show purposes.

50DBB have seen 550whp on SRT-4. like isaid it looked like a 50 trim, could've been a 60 trim or 60-1

^^^ yes 550whp on race gas 450whp is common for 50trims and easily done with correct tune and supporting mods. 600 is definitely stretching it but who knows he may be packing a shot of NOS to help spool the turbo down low before VAGTEC kicks in.
