Sometimes one side shuts off but the other doesn't. Sometimes, both sides shut off. It's really funny because if I press on the front of the radio screen, they both come on until I let go of it. Also, the buttons that slide up and down for Bass/Treble/Fade can be pressed in and the speakers come on. If I'm not pressing on the radio somewhere, I usually only have one speaker working. Sometimes I can press and both speakers will come on and stay on. Does anyone out there know what the heck is happening here? PLEASE tell me what this is so I can fix it!! josh_S70GLT Posted July 29, 2004 Report Share Posted July 29, 2004 I would check the connectors at the back of the radio. On each side of the radio face you push in the tabs and they should pop out, then grab and pull the radio out. There are two connectors in the middle of the back and two antennas connected at the back bottom corner.If you unplug these to inspect the radio will lose power and you will need to enter your radio security code in when it regains power, so if you don't know the code, don't touch anything. Bing_0 Posted July 29, 2004 Report Share Posted July 29, 2004 I would say its either just a bad connection at the back of the radio at the wiring harness, or your radio is just going back. to check the first scenario, just pop out the taps as mentioned above, pull the radio out, and turn ont he radio while tugging at the wiring harnesses coming out the back. see if you can get it to a point where it stays on...if its internal, your best and probaly cheaper bet is to get an aftermarket radio and install it...b Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
