225/40/18 Falken FK452. Like them alot, look to be worn out at 15K miles. Used to ride on a Falken RT615, only lasted 8K miles. I tend to refer to myself as an aggressive driver.

I've driven both as well. I like the FKs, but the RT615s are indeed grippier... and wear out pretty fast. The FKs are a really good, inexpensive tire.

Ive been rocking sumotomo HTR+ in 225/35/28 for about 18k now and I need a new set, good lateral grip but they suck in a straight line, and im not to easy on my tires either, tthey probably would have lasted another 5k but, hese have been to to strip about 5 times and auto-xed twice

I used to run on them, but then Bridgestone stopped making them for a few years. Don't know why, but I'm glad to see they are back. Since then I have been running on Yokohama ES100's, Falken ST115, and BFG G-Force. My memory says that the RE750's are better that any of these .

Like everything else, it just depends on what you want... ride, noise, grip, treadwear, price.... Personally I give the old RE750's I used to run on a definite recommendation. Now that I know thery are back in production I will be buying them again for my next set of tires.

From your signature it appears that you are on stock suspention. If that is still the case then I can definitely say that these tires exceed the performance limits of your current suspention. Your suspention will limit your cars handling ability, not the RE750's.

As mentioned, kind of depends on what you are looking for . . . .

Maxinum performance I'd say BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS are good performance tires. OE on Mustang's and GTO's. My step dad runs them on his 03 460RWHP Cobra, they grip surprisingly well.

For a cheap, good performance all season tire, that grips well along with a smooth ride, Yokohama AVID H4's are probably one of the best cheap tires you can buy.

Continental ProContacts are inexpensive, grip really well and will last a hell of a long time, firmer than the Yokohamas though.

I normally HATE Goodyear tires but my 855T came with a set of Goodyear Eagle RSA's (latest tread pattern), the ones that cops use. Surprisingly they stick real well and have held up pretty good so far hard driving. I keep them at 34PSI and they stick like glue, ride is "OK".

Personally, I stay away from Bridgestone/Firestone and Khumo, I just know too many people that have had problems with them.

Falken Ziex-512's

225/40/18

good tire for the money

agressive tread, and pretty good performance. lots of wheelspin in the rain, but that could be my overwhelming turbo powah

btw, my previous RE950's were much better (but they are $$$)

RSA stick like glue? They come on everything and they suck. But that's because I've used tires that actually stick like glue...

The Hankook RS2 Z212 is a tire I'd consider as an alternative to the RT615. The Yokohama Advan Neova is probably top for ultimate grip, but very expensive. I drove some FK452s in autocross and wasn't overly impressed by their straight line grip, but they smoke nice. :P

Had Yokohama's ES100's. Did not have the crazy threadwear some people complain about, and I have the same car as you.

Had Fuzion's on the wheels I bought, hated them, loud, poor traction, I dumped them.

Have Goodyear F1's, 215/40 R17 (on Canistos 17*7.5 rims) and I love them. Had those when they first came out a few years back and went over 50K miles on them (granted, it was ALL highway driving).

For Dry and Wet weather I'd say KDWs, but don't ever drive them in more than an 1/8th inch of snow... your car will turn into a sled, and by sled i do not kid, my car from 15mph lost traction with light braking. tread depth is very small on the KDW and the compound is sticky and typically doesn't last as long.

For all weather/daily driving I'd say Continental ExtremeContacts, 215/45/17s are on my car now. so yea i'm a little biased because i love how they ride, feel, and they cost me 500$ installed.

as compared to the KDWs (205/45/17), The ExtremeContacts have similar grip on dry and wet but great (as compared to the KDW) traction on the snow. KDWs I would not recommend for a daily driven car then are loud, ride slightly harsh, and suck for winter driving...

KDW lifespan 20k (and that's pushing it, i didn't beat on my car at all except for about 15 1/4mi passes and 4 dyno pulls).

ExtremeContacts lifespan is closer to 30-40k.
