Denovae
Didn't mean to jump down your throat, I'm still bitter about my Durangos sitting at the dealer for some random issue and losing $115/day in revenue on those. I'm 6'3, I couldn't even begin to fit in that car. With the X-fire selling like crap, I'm not sure why they're making another feeble attempt at a sports car.straight from mopar yea it may be feeble but the crossfire SRT-6 which was a limited run was an amazing car and i don't doubt the demon will be a push over untill SRT gets it's hands all over it... i just hope they do something to the front and rear end to make the styling more bearable. SkyWriter
dodge hasn't had a decent car since the 70's. then they were great. but then again all car styling died back then...
narxs70
the car looks okay execpt for the rear fenders. that with 300 hp and 2600 lbs would be hella fun.
s70turbo1998
fair enough. I was just wondering because cars.com / jdpower.com rank them above average in quality and at the top for crash rating. i'm not hating on you or anything, i was just curious.on a side note here was my 5min attempt at a coupe version - yea it's shitty! given more time i might actually have tried harder... shading, colors, etc are off completely but it's just a rough idea.the top looks like it was made from $hit
gdizzle
http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2007/02..._demon_con.htmlPersonally I think of the following cars when i see this thing:Audi TTHonda S2000Mazda MiataChrysler CrossfireAston Martin Vanquish (headlights from the side)Dodge ChargerNissan 350ZWith enough said they believe the high performance engine will be the 2.4L world engine that replaced the A855. under 200hp but it's the same engine as the 300hp SRT-4 Caliber so there will likely be an SRT version of the car with either the an AMG V6/SC or the WE I4/T. Oh yea... rear wheel drive and ~2600lbs. Starting around $21kPersonally I think the styling sucks, it looks like a whole bunch of cars go into an orgy on the sketch board in michigan. Performance wise I think the base models may have fair to moderate performance, if SRT Engineers decide to step in you'll see a styling, powerplant, suspension, interior change along with a hardtop cover for the die hard racers. What do you guys think about the styling and possible performance? Mesoam
why do we have a guy on the forum swinging from dodges nuts? don't get me wrong i like the charger and magnum but serrisously its like you bust a load on talking them up, most of us are pretty happy w/ our volvos

A lot of what i was talking up was SRT not dodge, the demon will be a decent, not great car, unless SRT gets it's hands into the mix like it usually does for performance cars from DCX. I'm sorry i posted an off-topic poll on a dodge car in the off-topic sections. By no means am i busting your nuts about owning a volvo it's much the other way around. I get laughed at and made fun of for driving a neon. Yea i bust a load on talking about cars in general. If you don't want me here just say so, start a poll in the poll section seeing who wants me to leave, who doesn't care, and who would like me to stay around. I'm sure one of the admins will tamper with the results like they did to this thread so the outcome is inevitable. Go for it.

After that i just stuck around.Typically i use my experience about my car and other cars which happen to be mostly LT/LS SBC and 4G63 but primarily SRT-4 A855, to explain things that I'm saying. I have a lot of options to weigh and definitely after the SRT-4 AWD or RWD is at the top of the list. Primarily i want a relatively new car (sedan... i hate coupes), that isn't usually modified or known as a performance car. He's really pushing me, he wants to do another turbo project. Right now it's a savings game, what am i willing to spend and what am i willing to save. It'll be another year atleast before i decide.for all i know the owner may persuade me into a CTS-V to let him build another SBC turbo. (very unlikely on my side for $$$ reasons)
