trance42
None of my gauges work. If the trip comp goes out will it cause all the gauges to stop working? Is there a relay for all the gauges? Haynes manual has fuse numbers for tack speed fuel and coolant temp but they didn't include it in any of the diagrams. I cant seem to find it in the factory manual that someone posted a link for a while back.ANY INFO IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.Tim

matt b
95 850 turboCheck fuses under hood, on driver's side. Your trip computer failing is linked to an odometer gear and is a mechanical issue that should not cause your cluster to fail. BTW: an odometer gear repair is $25 and 20 minutes of your time. It's worth it!

It may help you figure things out.

trance42
I have replaced the engine wiring harness. I have replaced a bunch of relays. I have replaced the ECU.None of the fuses were blown when it shorted. Everything works except the gauges. Some of the lights in the gauges were burnt out. The trip computer scrambles but then goes to the clock.

Fires and electrical wires don't get along.Well for anyone who does a manual swap make sure your clutch fork is not rubbing the harness.I routed the harness away from the clutch fork but when i took it to a shop they put a zip tie on it and pulled it closer to the fork.Over time the fork rubbed the coating off a 12v wire.
