Piglet
Next put one or two quarters in the depression of the CBV Housing as shown below. The more quarters = the more boost it'll hold?
Denovae
The more quarters = the more boost it'll hold?I'd recommend no more than two quarters. three quarters is definitely too much, it'll force the retainer out of the seat in the CBV housing. Denovae
Sounds good, so 2 quarters is plenty for 10-12 psi?if your boost gauge is reading 10-12psi i'd go with a single quarter. I ran two quarters at 20psi before i got my BOV and it worked fine. two quarters on only 10-12psi and you may see negative effects such as backspin of the turbo or Part Throttle Boost which is never good for a turbo or engine and may end up throwing a PCM OBDII code. one possible fix is a flash/upgraded ECU or MAF voltage clamp for the PTB code, the PTB will still be there but your PCM will not see it - also a bad thing unless you want to run more boost than the PCM/ECU is tolerant of. I'll put one quarter in and see how that is. Thanks for the tip

I'll put one quarter in and see how that isyou ever need another one PM me, mine is the pictured, used for maybe 10k miles, cleaned, and everything. i don't ever use it. I'd let it go for like 5$ + shipping cots. I'll even include 2 quarters!

Anthrpicdecadnce
i did it, i added a quarter to the cbv to supplement the 17 psi i currently push. THAT JOB SUCKED. oh dear god was it difficult. And the only hard part is getting the CBV off and on. everything else was a joke. but heres my tip: USE A RACHETING BOX END!!!!!!! but yeah, no more CBV flutter!
