jroot
Anybody know the pipe size(s) on the 2000 v70r cat back exhaust? Thanks
Boosted5cyl
ok you help me and I'll help you ! I think it's either 2.5 or 2.75 but not 3in ofcourse. You got a C70 coupe though right, HPT Im guessing ? how much do you weigh, Im trying to see how much less a C70 coupe weighs VS a R wagon like I have. My next Volvo is gonna be a C70 HPT 5 spd, love um they look so hawtness, I wonder if you could fit a R-rear bumper for duals on a c70, prolly to wide and square?~ nice ride man. rodrigo
V70R bumper will not fit on a C directly. The side sections on the V are longer.
Boosted5cyl
right on thanks Rod ! Im sitting here looking at his sig pic trying to visualize it and it looks as if the rear bumper rolls up more for the C rather than being a little square on the V70R, all V's for that matter too. you know about the weight difference Rod? Volvo Virgin
If you were going to attempt a graft I think the S70 AWD bumper would be a better candidate.Doesn't the V70 have the cutout it the middle to accomodate the tailgate, where as the S70 is flat all the way across the top like the C70? stick70
dunno, good call though, never thought about that.I dont think the rear bumper would look right on a C70, id just go to a good body shop and get a whole molded into your current bumper. The V70 R front bumper does look pretty sexy on a C70.

As far as the weight I remember looking it up and being suprised but after looking at dimensions and all it makes sense. According to edmunds the curb weight is 3365lbs and according to edmunds curb weight for a 850R wagon is 3387lbs. Thanks for the compliment, and yes it's an HPT. As far as fitting a bumper, I don't think either s70 or v70 awd bumpers would fit unfortunately. If I do go dual, I plan to just have a shop cut a whole on the other side like another member her did. jroot
V70R dual exhaust would not work on your car without modification to the piping. Is that the pipe that goes from one muffler to the other? Basically what I'm trying to do is get a dual system that is the most quiet...I know the ipd and est systems are loud, so I figure the stock 2000 v70R system might be my best bet. jroot
IPD pipes do sound sweet though when its coldChuck IIRC, you installed the IPD dual exhaust setup. I'm talking about installing the 00' v70r stock setup...so I'm not sure if there is different in the pipe routing that IPD compensated for, maybe that's what Josh was talking about? I love the look though, looks great.

Che'_Moderator
the piping on a v70R is different to account for the AWDI used the XC system so its 99% the same. And LOL @ your sig
