roktbox
I've had these on the car (98 V70 T5) for 60K+ after the 302mm upgrade so age is a factor, BUT I wouldn't think to inspect them. Pedal began to soften today and by the time I got home (short trip) the fluid all over the wheel well and driveway was telltale. The LF SS line at the caliper was ever so slightly frayed and dripping heavily. The SS overbraid had broken slightly right at the base of the swage. All hoses have degraded performance in dynamic motion applications vs static. As the suspension moves, so does the hose and over time this one failed. Not sure if the Teflon core tube was compromised from the inside out or if the braid penetrated it. Just glad I wasn't out in BFE.Next time you have your wheels off take a close look right where the braid meets the fitting swage. Might be good preventive maintenance. BeachRat
That is lucky of you to have noticed at home, and to have made it safely.I wouldn't have thought for it to fail there, either. The midsection rubbing against the strut and endlink, maybe, but not here.

roktbox
Honestly don't recall and can't find the receipt, but I'm sure they were rather generic and in hindsight likely very cheap as they were part of a kit that didn't include the bigger caliper brackets to accept 302mm rotors. Had to run to IPD at the last minute and get their kit, saved the other set of rotors and used them recently when I did the brakes again.
