Codes 131 & 137

CEL came on scanned, got code 131 and 137. 131 front o2 sensor low voltage. 137 rear o2 sensor low voltage.

searched and found post about fuel pressure regulator vacumn line leaks relating to low o2 sensor voltages.

I found no vacumn leakes there. Any other ideas?

Bump for any ideas.

Could both of these sensors go bad at the same time?

Really? I think this a fuel related thing. I did disconnect the vacumn line from the fuel pressure regulator and plug the nipple at the throttle body. I saw no changes in o2 voltages. I'm not sure if it would or not by altering fuel pressure. and I dont have a fuel pressure guage to know if it changed anything or not.

time to buy more tools, or o2 sensors

If your getting the codes and if you check the voltage read out on both sensors and they arnt jumping around from .01 to .99 when the car is warmed up then i would replace the first sensor and see what happends. If the codes go away good, but if they stay there then its most likly something else since you know that the first O2 is good. If i were you i would just replace both sensors and go from there since then i would know it wasnt the sensors but if you dont have the cash always go with the first sensor!

check the connector where the O2's plug in...check the wiring there...probably severed or pinched or disconnected.

Yes this is a possiblity

The cotter pin on the steering linkage caught the front o2 sensor's wiring pulling it out of the connector. I fixed this before the CEL came on.

I currently get reading from .00v to .83v maybe .85 at best. So there is a voltage reading but not up to par with specs.

Unless the o2 sensors were damaged by the wires being pulled out of the connector(and only the front connector) I don't think both would go bad at once, or if they did would they still give a reading but lower volts?

what other factors would result in low o2 sensor voltages?
