omg it happens to a "few" so it happens to many omg

i said it happens to a few... i don't know if it's really all that common. i was just asking for opinions. my personal opinion is that inferior body quality maybe outweighed by the performance gain.

thats an american car owner at heart right there  are you saying that the roof falling off is not that bad because the car is still powerfull?

i dont care if a car has 650bhp, if the roof is falling off thats just poor craftsmanship and lack of good build quality for ya

i guess it really depends on how many Z06s are plagued by this symptom. in general, if the quality is decent enough to be able to stand up to the elements and perform under the conditions i drive in then it's good, if the roof falls off... screw that good bye. the C6 was made to be a cheaper alternative to exotics, so yea build quality won't be the same but it's one hell of a performance vehicle due to it's weight and power. i'm not gonna sit and debate build quality because yea imports definitely have better build quality, but i think overall most american car cops are improving their build quality and have made it an issue.

Who gives a shize, you get what you pay for. Ill pay 65,000 for 505 ferrari smoking HP and have a flimsy roof that falls appart. So what, just like the guy in the video you will laugh it off as you stomp the pedal and realize it means nothing because you are still holding 100,000$ in your wallet that the ferrari owner doesnt have!

On certain 2005-2006 models, the painted roof panel will separate from its frame "if it is exposed to stresses along with high temperature and humidity," GM said. The occupants of the vehicle may notice one or more of these symptoms: a snapping noise when driving over bumps, wind noise, poor roof panel fit, roof panel movement/bounce when a door or hatch is closed, or a water leak in the headliner. "Dealers are to apply adhesive foam to ensure proper adhesion, or in a small number of vehicles, replace the roof panel," the company said. The Leftlane Perspective: Tip: be sure to glue the roof of your flagship car on properly the first time at the factory.

Have a buddy with a C6Z, he brought his in to check. Mind you, his car traps 135-137 MPH in the 1/4 and he frequently does over 180 MPH, no problems yet... oh, and it's his daily driver, probably sees over 20K miles/year.
