That roof falling off thing was covered by a recall. I've driven and ridden quite a bit in my buddies c6. The interior quality isn't great, but then again it's not a ferarri. Supercar they are not, stuff ton of fun they are.

the c6 maybe, but the c6 z06 is definitely a supercar in terms of performance. 10sec 1/4miles on DOT tires and stock counts as super car for me.

who cares? its a 70k car that competes and beats 100K + cars....

yeah :( who cares, i want a car thats roof can stay on no matter how much it is or what car from a saturn to a bugatti, if the roof cant stay on why would you want to buy one?

i will never buy a vette or think about owning one but i do respect z06's and the new SS's are sooo nice

I'm well aware of it's performance capabilities. It costs 1/2 - 1/4th what a supercar costs, and itis impossible to have the quality of an exotic in that price point given the costs of delivering such performance.

oh yea i agree, overall build quality suffers for performance, is it a supercar overall? no... but in performance terms? definitely.

So...kicking the roof repeatedly and the roof subsequently breaking = bad build quality? To me it looks more like a bunch of poking morons trying too hard to prove a point. Especially when it was covered under warranty.

very true but that is not my point, mine is the fact that a company is trying to sell a $65K "super/gran touring" (whatever you wanna call it) car that is suppose to compete with the big names and the roof cannot stay on, and this has not been the only case. i dont think the roof of a saleen would be flying off, so i would look there for american supercar

overpriced, too heavy, 4.6sec 0-60 BOOOOOOOOOOOO. i thought it was suppose to be a fast car? 300hp can get 4.6sec 0-60, why does it need 500hp to go that fast?

  i was amazed when i read this, we agree with something about american cars

No. He took the car in to the dealership and they began to fix the issue, but realized they needed to order a new roof all together. Instead of leaving it there waiting for the parts to arrive, he drove it around with the headliner stripped when the roof started to lift. At the speeds they were driving (notice the cars flying by in the background?), he didn't want to risk it flying off so he decided to rip it off all together. Yes, poor quality...but who cares? It's a $75K car that ties Porsche's Carrera GT on the Nurburgring and embarrasses anything else on a track. Isn't Porsche ashamed that their flagship 911 GT3 on R-compound Pilot Sport Cups can't even keep up while the Z is shod with worthless runflats?

Interior issues aside, mine has been perfect. I had the roof issue fixed before it started to lift on me, and GM has owned up to it. They might not be of the highest quality but their reliability is by far and away better than anything else out there. Do you know embarrassing it is to be stranded on the side of the road in your M6 when you realize the entire transmission has to be replaced at 5,500 miles? Or to have a brand new S65 which spent 50% of its time in the dealership during only the first 4 months of ownership? Now that's quality!

Frankly, the quality concerns are only brought up by the Porsche and Ferrari drivers who are threatened by another car making their penis look smaller. But thanks to Caravaggio (the only good thing to come out of Canada), my interior is covered with as much leather, carbon fiber, and alcantara as you'll find in a Maybach. Instead of doing it themselves, GM saved buyers the extra $15,000 and gives them the option of weather or not they want such an interior.

I'll have a Porsche or Ferrari as my weekend car when my wrists go limp. Until then, I'm happy with 635 naturally-aspirated RWHP.

wow thats great, whats next the wheels of the GT40 fall off at speeds greater than 125?? way to go team america

I can't quite tell if you're trying to be condescending...but the GT actually did have issues with wheels falling off at the track. :)
