rolly850R
I agree with Pras and what I said before super-60 trim will allow the 15G to flow like a 16t. But your the master and it's your car so flow with what you want I have made no definite plans and it will all come down to cost to get me where I want to go, and not just in the short term as I may well build the bottom end - so need to think of the future. Kibim
I still feel my 18T doesn't flow enough. If you want strong top end boost, go with a nice big garret. I don't think the 'stock' turbos will flow enough, unless i'm just doing something horribly wrong? (boost fades to 0.9 bar at redline, but can hold 1.3-1.6 before then.) The expert has told me to basically stay away from the td04's to reduce the turbo temp. I.e. for the money it's not worth stuffing a 15G which is where I was initially thinking of going. From my initial discussions a t3/t4 hybrid of some description could be the order of day, as he'll build it to do what I want it to do all at a cheapish price. He will also build it to not boost too early so that it doesn't have to be bled off too much to protect the rods down low and have plenty of puff up top too.Well see. The t3/t4 will probably be as much $ as a super 60 rebuild, and you can find them for way less. If you got an expert it takes the guesswork out of selecting what t3/t4 and installation will be easier. The standard 16g flange wont fit our exhaust manifold, so the hot side will need to be swapped for a T3. Super 60 spools too crazy fast imo, but would make for a quick car with an EBC to bleed off the boost down low, but wont give you the top end to run with AMGs on the open roads...
