Control Arms

To my knowledge, I am on the only one in the world offering a commercially available adjustable control arm for the 850.

Does Doug at RK sell your control arms? They look very very similar but in black!?!

The polybushes arrived today, think i might just go for the cheapest set of control arms i can find, fit the poly bushes, then spend the rest of the money on volvo original top mounts and IPD ARBs.

Yep, those are the same ones, the pics of his are black powder coated (prototype) we found the electroless nickel plating to be much more durable and better coverage then powder coating

To throw another option into the field, what about the R/Diesel control arms? I realise i would need the subframe (I know its not a subframe, but dont know what else to call it) from either the R or diesel aswell.

What would be the better option (poly bushed T5 CA or R/Diesel CA) from both the handling and longevity point of view?

There must have been a good reason for Volvo to sell the R and Diesel with the other type of control arm.

Hmm just to offer my only knowledge on the subject... it's probably best not to buy anything scantech.. I've never been totally satisified with their products, and many have a very short life span.

I just replaced my control arms from a company deutschepartsusa on ebay, it was recommended by another VS user. The company is an OEM company called Hamburgtechnic. Sorry, I didn't have the time to read all that you said, but they've worked out very well for me... I don't know if they sell arms for the V70, but they've worked great for me. PM me if you have any questions. Hope this helped.

You're right. it is the hamburg technic ones Slater uses. He just recommends painting them because the paint that come on them isn't very good. Other wise, they're good quality.

FCP has a set of these Hamburgs on their eBay store for $110 per pair including a set of end links and free shipping. Sounds like a good deal if they can sell it for less minus their puny end links which are about $15 per side.

Miles, didn't know about the "high-maintenance" of Delrin bushings. Given that, might just be cheaper to buy new control arms every 3-4 years.
