gdizzle
A lug mounted caliper will be hard to fit on the front. If it's a radial mount caliper you could be ok.
Boomin850
Maybe because we don't know what you are talking about? These porsche brakes don't use shims or anything...they use these things called pucks. They sell at the dealer for $8 a piece and you need

gdizzle
I guess that would explain all the squealing then... According to the Rennspeed guys, it's completely useless, thus why you don't need it.

I'll prolly buy it anyways and see if it gets rid of the noise. Seems that whenever I get enough brake dust in there they squeal like hell until it rains or I wash the car. Good times either way

larryo108
Hasn't this been discussed ad nauseum? The Porsche 993TT calipers are the only ones that work with CJ's kit. The calipers come in red, black , and silver I believe. The 993 NON-turbo calipers will NOT work. Dave has tried it and posted a thread with pics about it. They'll need to make they're own brackets. :monkey:

If I drive in the rain, the next morning they will be loud as hell until I can heat them up. They get quieter once they warm up. At least that is how mine seem to work. larryo108
Those appear to be TT calipers though.I agree the top calipers do. The bottom ones don't. But if he plans to use CJ's calipers, call CJ and check the part numbers. The part numbers are stamped on the back of the caliper IIRC. The part numbers are 993.351.425.10 for the left caliper and 993.351.426.10 for the right caliper. If these aren't the part numbers, CJ has stated he can't guarantee that they will work with his brackets. Greg, yes he plans to use CJ's brackets per the final sentence in the original post.
