SO what do u think it would do to my V70R? if i were to do a 4piston on all 4 wheels????

I don't know, but my 850 R with 6 pot on all four corners stops like you would not believe and feels so solid under hard braking. I love it! B)

I picked up a set of brembo calipers off a 06' cadillac cts-v. Painted silver, look very close to the stop techs. I got them all for 650. 4 piston all around. They have a different mounting to them. they have casted brackets that drop down and look like they will be very easy to bolt up with just some thick plate and some drilled holes. I will be trying to mock them up soon. I will post pic's. The casted brackets look like the rear black calipers at the begining of the post they just drop further. So I figure with some time materials and rotors I will be up and running for about 1400 for all 4 corners.

if they look like this, they're not going to be easy to bolt up. Depending on the placement of the mounting they may be too close to the stock mounting holes. Radial mount calipers would be easier IMO to retrofit.

Leave him alone. Obviously has lots of time on his hands. Hopefully good insurance too.

A a major Wilwood dealer I've noticed a few folks poking around my site from here hoping to garner info on Calipers and design ideas. No problem, that's what the info is for that I post. While I'm not a vendor, nor am I in a position to 'sell' you anything here I have done some business with a couple guys with regard to replacement rotors and keep an eye on new pastures.

That being said I am not surprised at some of the bad rap the Wilwood line takes at times both here and abroad. I'll clear up many of the misconcepttions for you I hope.

First there are many, many Wilwood calipers on the market. No, not alll of them belong on all applications, yes some are better than others. I've been both producing kits and selling thier product for nearly 14yrs as well as aiding them in design of a number of newer parts the past five years as a resutlt of my work with communities like this one who don't understand the product line. To make a blanket statement that Wilwood product is crap is ingorant. The Subaru WRX went through a phase of this some time ago and with a couple months of education and helping those with the product we came to understand the problems and needs of the customer and have resolved issues and fostered new business and satisfied customers.

The Wilwood line of calipers runs from those for open wheel light weight vehicles to full on hd truck applications. Picking the right part for the need is key. I've seen some kits here that use a smaller caliper which I personally will never endorse for a vehicle greater than about 2500lbs. Between it's light weight body and thin pads it's simply not the right part for the job. The larger family of calipers such as FSL and BSL6 continue to prove over and over to be comparable to many higher priced parts in use by other companies. I know; I compete with them. From there the new W6A caliper is in a new classs for radial mount and is a spec part for a European mfg under a different label. The massive TC6 truck calipes will go up against anyting in the market.

As for the long held belief that non booted racing calipers won't work on the street, that's bunk. In nearly 15yrs I have replaced perhaps 2 sets of calipers on kits with mulit years of service which have finally given up with all weather use. And plenty of summer track use. The cost effectiveness of replacements made it a moot point to repair them. Yet for the die hards who cannot live with out this additiona feature they are available; http://www.wilwood.com/Products/001-Calipe...L4R14/index.asp

As I began, it's not my intent to force myself upon anyone. I only wish to offer up a more clear picture of what this product line can offer you. For those building your own kits I'm here to help, for those who question the designs I'll be happy to drop in once in a while and try to keep you on track. Regards to all.
