soiltron
I don't want to sell it, and I don't want to buy a new car, but my wife's been whining about AWD in the snow, so I thought I'd see what interest I could find in a trade. If there's none, I get to keep my R. Before I get flamed for posting this, the FS forum wouldn't let me add a new topic. Maybe my noobness is shining through? FixerUpper
Keep the Rtell your wife that our v70 AWD wagon sucks az in snow, and my 850 rocks the stuff B)
soiltron
This is the reply I wanted. After driving this morning, I came to the conclusion that the R is mine and it's not leaving. She can get a jeep or whatever for herself. But the turbo is mine until it dies, then it will be resurrected and continue to be mine! Thanks for the sanity check! Andru365
Trading an R for an XC is like trading in your balls for a purse ;)

Big Will
I agree with everyone that you should keep your R if you love it but do people really think that the AWD wagon doesn't drive well in the snow? I just can't believe that. I drove that car for several years through the worst that Vermont and Maine winters could throw at me traveling to and from the mountains often several times a week as a ski instructor and just for fine. I often didn't have the time to wait for the plows to run and I never once got stuck on some truly hairy roads. It helps to have good snow tires without a doubt but I think it's absurd to say that a FWD 850 can perform better in the snow than the AWD wagon.
