Cause Of No Fuel From Injectors

What exactly do you mean? Is there fuel pressure? Have you checked for a signal to the injector?

Just because the pump whirs doesn't mean there is any fuel pressure.

Thanks for responding. There is fuel pressure to the bar. No current at the injectors, or cold start valve. I removed the cold start valve to see if it was squirting (no), while it was out I shot some starter fluid in its place and then got it to run for 1-2 secs. What next? Thanks in advance

Sorry for my lack of info.

The car in question is a 1989 740 wagon.

Still by the fan shroud?

Thank you Mr. Winkey

NO ....it's a black relay on the strut tower it's also a common issue with the 7 series

It is most likely the radio suppression relay (RSR). As your car is not a turbo, I'm not sure exactly where this is located in the engine compartment, but odds are it's on the front of the left (driver's side) strut tower. If you can find the relay for the electric pusher fan, this is identical and you can swap them to verify if the RSR is at fault. IINM, on a non turbo, this relay would be found somewhere along the right fender, otherwise on a turbo it sits right next to the RSR. For the most part you can live without the pusher fan relay.

For replacement:

These relays are very simple in design but the connectors are a proprietary design, so the simple solution is to find a new/used relay. However, you can simply cut off the connector and splice in a standard automotive relay socket, then use any cheap standard automotive (Bosch type) relay, the type you'd find at almost any store.

For reference:

Should you need a wiring diagram, this can be found here:
