incenseandpeppermints67
I am thinking about putting a 6" powered bazooka sub in the trunk of my 850. However, the guy at one of the audio shops I went to said that since "volvos are for middle-aged white people who just want to drive around without any road noise" the trunk is well insulated from the cabin and I would need something bigger. Namely, his $500 model. Is that a vaild concern or was he just trying to push more than I want?
Owned
He didn't put it very well, but that's the basic truth. Regardless, Bazooka stuff is complete garbage.

My boss recommended them. Plus, I was attracted to the idea that I could fairly easily transfer it to another car, seeing as I don't know if I'll take my car with me when I go off to college in the fall. Assuming I stay with the bazooka, would moving it into the cabin work?
Owned
It will work wherever you put it, it's still junk though. If you really want a simple, self-powered solution, look at the many other offerings in the market right now. JL, Infinity, Clarion, JBL... the list of powered subs (that are better than Bazooka) is substantial enough that you should have no trouble finding something that's actually worth spending your money on. Bazooka has never been synomonous with quality. Their main selling point is that people who don't know anything about audio think they look cool. 97Rwagon
If its the bottle sub with the built in amp, don't waste your money. hell, I think bazooka is shitty to begin with. and damn your username is long.

I hate salesmen who just try to say crap like that to make you buy something more expensive. Makes the rest of us honest salesmen (i know thats an oxymoron but they DO exist) look bad. I would go somewhere else and get a better powered sub like jbl, infinity, etc.
b3atboxjr
sure, the tube is easy to MOVE to another car, but to hook it up will be just as time-consuming as any other car. You'll have to run new power lines, RCA's and a remote line in whichever car you move it into.single 12" in a sealed box with amp mounted to box (which I don't reccommend) will be just as easy to MOVE to another car.don't get the tube.
