hmm.. which one of these areas will be the most scenic? you know, good for photo ops.

Allston has Cambridge Cemetary right across the river for background :) i think the lots over near longfellow are gated, never been in there though. i have been to Allston, shouldn't be a problem there.

BVV is a good idea, but i'm not looking to get any work done.

I'd say the good place for photo ops would be along mem drive by either of the MIT boathouses or by CBI along storrow drive right near the charles MGH T-stop, in this weather there shouldn't be any problem finding spots there.

Hmmm... these are all good ideas. whats bbv?

i think the meet should be held on a weekend. like a sunday or something. does that sound good?

It's BVV and it's Boston Volvo Village.

I would love to find a place where we can line up cars and take shots. Not something where you can easily do in the city. A big parking lot or an abandon building would be ideal. ;)

Well, this has been a lovely conversation, but we are still missing two basic things: a location and a date. Weather.com says that next weekend (3/18-19) is supposed to be sunny, so perhaps we can shoot for that?

Would anyone out in the 'burbs know of a good parking lot, closed restaurant, etc. that would accomodate this?

Let's pull this thing together, gentlemen.

I can't go next weekend. Busy with a data center move with over 300 servers.

I don't mind traveling into the 'burbs, you know that Phil. Have any GTG (resonable close) and I will attend (depending on date).

I can't do next weekend. I will keep an eye out out here for a place.

wouldnt everyone have to pay for that?

kinda but it would still be cool

on the other hand, if we're talking about the burbs, winchester has some public parking lots on beautiful sites like the horn pond reservoir, the ones near the mystic lakes, and the ones near the center ponds and the library.

The way this is going. Someone should just pick a date and a place and we all should just go with it.

Amen. The Winchester idea has some appeal, as there are a couple of places to eat in the downtown area. A week from this Sunday? Would this work?
