I think I can get the required .75 cubic feet and also use the 17" Volan as a grill. Maybe I'll step up to a JBL 12" that I have if I can make the airspace... Guest bing0 in NJ Posted August 19, 2004 Report Share Posted August 19, 2004 i looked into the same thing, and my conclusion is, the only way to do it is with a a rather shallow sub that donest require a lot of airspace...if you think about it this way, the enclosure is going to have to be around 15 in diameter and only about 6" deep after you take into account hte thickness of hte wheel itself, so that makes for a .5-.6 cub feet enclosure, and most likely less if you take in account the other iregularities in the sub well, and the space taken by the sub itself in the enclosure...personally, I think a good sub for this would be something like a kicker s8l7, though your infinity sub chris may be a good candidate...i know when the tire is out, the well looks huge, but once you get to building the enclosure itself, you will realize you have less space than you think b Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But a tad pricey.Bing- I expect to keep the floor the same height overall - just getting rid of the rear seat and bringing the sub up to meet the floor.
