Is It Bad When Turbo Is Smoking?

Hehe I just replaced my 13G with 15G I did not replace my exhaust housing.

Well after i hooked all of it up. and started the car i am having some smoke coming off the top of my turbo where the v-band is.. and then there is some more smoke from my OEM flex pipe... also I got some white smoke coming out of my exhaust or maybe its just from being a little cold outside. I am thinking that this is just some of the oil that I perhaps spilled that is burning off....

Anyone have any Idea or is it a simptom of a bad turbo?

Have you driven it around at all? Its most likely burning off the crap that got on it while doing the install, even your hands on the exhaust will make it smoke for a little while due to the oil from your skin. It doesnt take much.....

Make sure you arent leaking any oil from the return line.

its just the extra crap that I had there. I think its all burned off by now.. Too bad I don't seem to notice any difference in power... Perhaps its time for a remap.
