True Swede Posted March 12, 2007 Report Share Posted March 12, 2007 Hey peopleI know this has kind of been covered before, but I haven't been able to find any info on my particular problem.After being irritated enough on blackened out buttons on my SC-816 I finally decided to spend some time changing the two burned out bulbs. I followed the link found below, on how to replace the bulbs and everything went smoothly till I got to the part where I should pull out the old bulb from the socket and put the new one in. The wires on the excisting bulb are twisted around and into the socket and I just can't get the bulb to come out of the socket. In the description I followed it says nothing about this. Gilhuly Posted March 13, 2007 Report Share Posted March 13, 2007 The wires Do wrap around the holder " hips". Use a knife to drag/pry them off the hips. Wrap the new bulb wires around the holder in a similar fashion so that contact will be made when the holder goes back in the board. pull them kinda tight w/ your teeth and snip them off.
