volvolove
I'm just curious because I've forgottten: What is the reason behind replacing the stock wastegate actuator with the 300/70 one you guys like?
turbor850
the 15G 150/?0 isn't good for holding boost at higher rpms, which everyone kinda knowsthe 300/70 wastegate on the 19T and maybe 18T holds boost a lot better at higher rpms . . . swdracr
It didn't help me hold boost at higher RPMs at all; the limit there is the turbo, not the wastegate. What it did do was allow me to run higher boost without using a MBC. It just has a stiffer spring than the 150/40.
volvolove
So, as a 15G user the 300/70 would be a good thing or not good thing?

swdracr
how hard is it to bolt upIt's a little bit of a pain to get to one of the bolts (there are only two), but as far as fitment, it bolts right up.

Bay13
why not just put the 300 spring on the 150 or is it not do-able?Looking at the Volvo parts list, the internals of the waste gate are not availabe. I don't think you can get to the spring without destroying the waste gate.
