NataSS Inc
This isnt about my volvo but I figured I would put it in here since its a little "performance" oriented. Now that the divorce is over and I can finally move on with my life, its time to get onto the "EBC" (evil black camaro). It has been on hiatus for far to long.LME out of Texas is putting together the new motor for me.347 ci LS6, 14.0:1, solid rollerVictor Jr. Intake90*, 90mm elbow90mm Nick Williams TBDiamond pistons w/ 10cc dome and valve reliefsCompstar rodsStock, treated crankJesel belt driveJesel J2K 1.85 rockersBig Stuff 3 Engine managmentAviad 3 stage dry sumpCustom fabbed water pump to be run off dry sump pulleyMTI Stage 2R LS6 heads milled .030Cam specs are 765/765 (rocker included in that #), 266/274 @ 50, 110 LSA and 2-4* advanceHoping to see 525rwhp but I will be happy with anything over 500. That wouldnt be to shabby for a stock inched LS6. Considering the altitudes we run ORR at, it should give me enoug HP to hit the 200mph mark.Right now I am spending alot of time fabricating stuff on the car. Conversion to the front breather, diffusor, Blaine Fabrication rear spoiler, getting the trans and diff cooler put on it etc. I am also going through and yanking anything that isnt an abolute need on the car. It was already stripped but now its time to go through and take out all the little brakets that are spot welded at the factory that serve no purpose, winshield wiper motor, etc. I'll try to get some pictures next time I am at the shop. Superchargers spit the belts and turbos just eat themselves do to to much heat build up.I run in Open Road Races. 90 to 130 miles flat out as fast as you can go. NataSS Inc
Holy god!! an LS6 with twin turbo would be the nastynessActually most guys are going to BIG singles to make the serious HP. 408-440ci iron block motors with T80's or bigger. Wheel to Wheel built a single turbo Z28 that went into the 7's.For me its about long distance and endurance. And a stock ci LS6 motor making 500+ at the tires is no slouch. My Myspace page has some incar video from the last Nevada Open Road Challenge I did navigating in my buddies corvette. Our cruising speeds in his car are just north of 200mph.www.myspace.com/200mphjunkie
TorqueSteer
Damn those races are insane! What type of motor oils are commonly used for these race cars?
NataSS Inc
Damn those races are insane! What type of motor oils are commonly used for these race cars?Really depends on the person. Some use regular dino oil and change after every race. But with a 4-5 gallon dry sump that can get old quick. We run synthetics in both my car and the corvette and still change the oil and inspect the filter after each race. Its just good maintenence and it can save you from grenading a motor.Big oil, trans and diff coolers are really important on the faster cars. You would be suprised how fast you can cook your fluids doing this stuff.

NataSS Inc
I run a Mobil 1 5/30 and I think its the same in the 410 motor in the vette. The trans gets red line and I believe the diff does as well. Its been a while since I have swapped fluid in the diff so I cant remember right off hand. I would have to look in the garage when I get home.

When I started failing turbos is when I changed off M1. If it works or you why change?
