True Swede
Hi guysI pulled out my SC-816 yesterday to replace two of the bulbs. I had problems getting the old bulbs out of the socket itself, so I decided to put the unit back in till I can figure out how to go about that problem. I reconnected the two wire harnesses and the three cables. Since they can only fit one way I know that the problem does not lay therein. After powering the unit on I noticed I only got sound from my left side speakers, front and back. Nothing on the right side. I juggled the wires around a little to see if any of them came lose when putting the unit back in, with no improvement. Since all the speakers (I assume) have their own wire it seems too much of an coincidence that all rightside wires were all disconnected. Besides they all feel like they are firmly connected to the sockets.I have probably done something really stupid , that's a simple fix but I just can't figure it out on my own. Couldn't find anyting really helpful doing a search on this topic. And for those suggesting an aftermarket HU, yes that may very well be the case at one point, but for the moment this car's budget is spent on replacing mechanical components.. Stormtrooper1
it's a stupid question, but did you check that the balance didn't get switched to all left when you took it apart?
BEJinFBK
it's a stupid question, but did you check that the balance didn't get switched to all left when you took it apart?Could those be the lamps that have the socket molded to them?I know that some of them are all one piece and you just replace the whole thing.I was gonna ask about the balance control, too.I've seen that get more than one person...Good Luck!
