I want to do a custom 3" setup, what model Magnaflow cat should I use (California but '94 is pre-OBDII), is this 3" spun cat OK?Have you heard of "spun" cats? Pros Cons?And i want to mate it to a 3" SS Magnflow with tip. Zappo Posted March 21, 2007 Report Share Posted March 21, 2007 I have a similar cat with the same muffler. I also have a resonator in there. I would suggest the resonator for your setup also. Even with that you will still get drone on the freeway, but it is livable. That muffler is a race muffler, so it will be louder than their street mufflers, but I don't believe the street comes in 3". I'll take that into consideration... i was looking at the street pipes, but they were all 2.25" or maybe 2.5"... I might go 2.5" and order the mandrel pre bent pieces to have them welded. I might go 2.5" and order the mandrel pre bent pieces to have them welded.It isn't illegal loud to run the race one. It is easily street legal. Before I put that on I was just running 2 resonators.
