Skid plate = Protects oil pan from crap

Splash Guard = Protects engines and timing belt from crap

You need a splash guard. It no only airs in cooling it also keeps your crank and pulleys dry so they do not slip or suffer accelerated aging.

Just saw listed on FCP Groton's site for cheap, you have a choice of OEM or aftermarket.

It should be the easiest fix possible.

Go back to the highway and get yours. Then rebuild it in fiber glass. Thats what I have had to do to two Volvos
