how are you so sure that it is the ecu?

experience is key to chip tuning

It would seem that if a car worked prior to having an ECU mod, and it either ran like crap after, or not at all, one can diagnose fairly simply that the one thing that changed in the equation is the problem. If it looks like a duck, smells like a duck and sounds like a duck... I'd have to say that it's a.... goose? No, a duck.

no never, the CEL did flicker once when it cut off at about 50mph, but started right back up and still no CEL stayed on then so I dunno? that was just the power shutting off temporarily and such I think.

Did you try to connect to the ecu via obdII like I said? If it connects, it's not the ECU.

no it's already on it's way back, that way if he say's all's well, then I can start tracking down another path, researching the MAF maybe but I just replaced it less than a year ago with a BOSCH unit via FCP, so we'll see. On that note, anyone ever gone with a Python Injection MAF, seem to be the same as OEM but how could you or what os there to be gained from a performance MAF if there's such a beast ? better response, more accurate readings ?

Well I got it this morning and put it back in, fires right up !!!! Let it run for a while but it's back again, thanks to John for somewhat speedy service and responses. Now to just get my DP and install my WB to see where I'm sitting for the moment and I'll be doing good.
