turbobrick
I put everything back together and plugged the vacuum ports on the manifold and the valve. My vacuum is back to 20.5 at idle. The car runs great. We'l see if the CEL goes off.If I don't plan to repalce the valve, do I relly need a blocking plate? If there is no vacuum applied the spring holds the valve closed, right.bypass valve is important, compressor surge can be very damaging on our turbos.do not disable it, vacuum will keep the valve closed though if it is hooked up. Keaton85
Will everything work OK with a blanking plate? Its the same thing as disconnecting the CBV, if you have a BOV then you will be fine but you will need one or the other to prevent lag and impeller damage.
