Why sign up for GB that isn't beneficial at all? I'm pretty sure 15% off is what the offer every summer, which means this is just a large order with no discount that isn't otherwise easily attainable.

IMO you should press him for at least 15% and free shipping to make it worthwhile to do the GB if we have less than 10 guys on board with this. If we can get 10 guys, then at least that's 5% off, which is better than nothing, as I see it.

fine . . . just trying to help . . . don't know about slater's, remember I'm a newbie. I got my front and rear sway bars for 20% off a year ago (they usually go on sale in January after Xmas rush . . .)

But this is a good deal, you'll love 'em!!!!!

What about the QBM's enlinks? claim they are 1900% stronger than stock . . .

Slater is the owner operator of QBM. Same thing.

LOL!

This is exactly what I am talking about. What's the benefit to us if they're offering these prices in non-group buy sales?

I do remember a newsletter saying they will be increasing the price due to steel prices and manufacturing, don't know the validity of that or if it was a way to get people to start buying . . .

I payed $360 for my set, minus endlinks and shipping

I got the same one. The price did jump afterwards, but they are still making a decent enough margin on these to do us a favor, especially if we're uping their probably 1 or 2 kit a week sales to 25 in just 3 weeks.

Rob, do what you're naturally good at and beat Scott up on the price.

Like I said I have contacted him. If he says no to what I mentioned to him. I will try again.

here we go, another unorganized group buy.

stop complaining about the prices....if you want them, buy them, if you don't want to pay the price, don't buy them.

if you can get 25 people in, then 20% and free shipping....instead of sitting behind your computer screen and complaining when a vendor sets up a group buy after alot of request, go out and recruit the people needed to get the larger discount.

Why not complain about the price? The point of a group buy is that it benefits both parties. Right now, it's very one sided.

Also, what vendor set up a GB? Rob is doing the leg work. All that's happening right now is Scott is putting a work on Rob. Actually, if you look at the big picture, he's trying to put a work on all of us, if he thinks he can pass off a standard price as a discount.

Pras I can agree with you to a point. However I am trying to work with Scott on a little bit more resonable amount of kits needed for a better deal.

I have this GB spanning three forums currently. So hopefully we can get like 5-10 people per forum.

If you can privately work out a better deal for everyone, that would be great, don't get me wrong, but we don't need members dictating a price that a business sets forth.....they are, after all, a business, and they can charge whatever they want to charge, just like just about any other business on earth. We all basically have no choice when it comes to cable companies, so we pay the provider that's there, generally with disregard to price because we have no choice, unless you decide to go with shitty satellite.

They can and will dictate the market because they are the only ones who make the product....no point in complaining about it.....work it out in private, and report back to us.

Keep the group buy organized, don't have ranting in the thread, keep that in PM's.

Yeah, the IPD bars are made of magic pixie dust and no one else can make them.

If we organized 25 guys, we can have someone make these for us for less than even the GB price. IPD isn't making these, just like all of their other products, they contract these jobs out and then mark the parts up for their profit.

We can do the same thing and totally avoid their markup. It happens every day in the manufacturing world.
