Oreo931
oreo.. i have a narrowband. i know flame me.. . like i said i just noticed after using the seafoam the gauge started reading in the lean area for awhile but now since ive driven the car its reading like it used to. I think it was picking up the seafoam in the system...how is yours hooked up? did you splice into the O2 sensor or did you have a seperate bung welded in and everything? Plan_B
I just got back from Napa and they said to replace the fuel filter if you are going to do seafoam, so I got something less invasive :)
Jaxx
do you have a downpipe and exhaust? cause if not you wont get all 17psi. most people dont see 17psi with stock exhaust, just too much gas to go through an S like turn and small jerk exhaust. just what i think is happening.keep in mind, seafoam is O2 sensor safe, but the stuff that it takes out isn't. carbon build up can really messup your O2 sensors when it comes out so quickly when you do seafoam. Phil94850
my O2 needs replacing anyways, the rear one keeps throwing a code
greasefingers
This might be an added PITA suggestion but maybe removing the O2 sensor first before running the seafoam thru the throttle body would be appropriate. That way a lot of the carbon will exit the O2 sensor port. Then replace the O2 sensor and pour the remaining amount of solvent into the gas tank.If you are going to use a new O2 sensor then this is absolutely how I would do it.
