S80 Tsixer
My 00 S80 has no external antenna(not really sure how many other volvos have the same setup) and i was wondering if anybody has gone to the drive in movies that have the am radio broadcasts where you hook the cable from the post to your car. Will the built in antenna(which I assume is integrated into the window?) pick up the signal, or will it just be fuzzy.

Jamaica2G
hook cable from post to your car? what is that? an audio input?I thought they were either broadcast over a low level radio FM channel or the cable you speak of was hooked to a box with a speaker IN it ... for that excellent Mono sound hehehe Adrian

S80 Tsixer
at the valley 6 in kent they have cables that go from a post to the antenna of your car(it clips on) to amplify the signal. I assume each post is like a mini transmitter since having a stronger signal might mean hearing the movie playing on the next screen over. We have always gone in the cavalier which has a standard mast antenna so i was just wondering if anyone else has gone there or somewhere like it with no external antenna and still got reception. And yeah i would just try it but i dont feel like wastinf 15 bucks if it doesnt work since theres no refundstony

I think the actual metal of the antenna is closer to the surface on the inside of the window...so if it doesn't work on the outside, and if they give you a lot of wire, try the inside. Good luck!--Ben
